Hide a Hose Rapid Flex Hose
The Rapid Flex Hide-A-Hose is now a deeper slate blue color. Consumer polling revealed that this color is more popular with consumers and customers, especially over the previous bright blue color. Many dealers prefer the Rapid Flex Hide-A-Hose because it offers: • A larger 1⅜” diameter, which results in 25 to 30% better airflow. • Greater cleaning power, meaning a smaller unit can be used in some Hide-A-Hose installations. • More flexibility and faster retraction, since the hose is lighter, softer and each coil has a more rounded profile. • Easier installation since the hose can handle more turns, multiple planes and tighter spaces. • A popular new color! Because of the larger hose diameter, a hose sock can’t be used on the Rapid Flex hose. However, the Rapid Flex hose is more gentle on furnishings than a standard hose since the hose is softer, lighter and each coil has a more rounded profile. The new blue 40′ and 50′ Rapid Flex hoses are currently being shipped, and the new blue 30′ hoses will begin shipping as soon as current inventories are depleted. Please Note: Over time the Rapid Flex hose may stretch with use. This stretch is permanent and prevents the hose from retracting into the tube system. Hide-A-Hose is working on a permanent solution to correct this, but in the meantime they recommend the following. The fix for current installations: Simply remove the hose end, cut the excessive length and replace the hose end. The fix for new installations: You should plan the tube system to extend 10′ longer than the hose length. For example, if you are installing a 40′ hose, you’ll need to use 50′ of dedicated tubing.
