I was almost embarrassed to take my vacuum cleaner to get fixed because it was a mess from sucking up spilled poo, the bag was full, and it was just filthy. But I was very pressed for time and had no choice.When I dropped it off, they didn't even bat ab eye at it and said they'd have it ready in a few days.When I got it back, it was not only fixed, but it was almost like new...they did a very thorough job and it was still the price they quoted me. Thumbs up from me!

I had an extremely disappointing experience with American Vacuum Gladstone and feel compelled to warn others. When I scheduled service for my whole house central vac, I was informed of $85 service fee. When the technician arrived he added shoe covers only after walking mud all over my carpeted stairs. He diagnosed the issue and said I needed a $30 replacement part- which seemed reasonable. However what I wasn’t told upfront was the additional $100 labor fee that I only discovered after reading the invoice.When I questioned this the technician called the office and that’s where things got even worse. The office staff first tried to bribe me into writing a 5-star review in exchange for a free part. When I declined she then offered to cut the labor in half- again only if I wrote a 5-star review. I agreed in the moment but in good conscience I cannot leave a positive review after the horrible customer service I experienced.The office staff was argumentative rude and unprofessional, showing no concern for transparency or fairness. It’s clear that many of the 5-star reviews for this company are the result of their bribery tactics rather than genuine customer satisfaction.There are honest companies out there- and his is not one of them.

I ordered a new powerhead and wand for my Edge vacuum, and was pleasantly surprised when I received the new one in under a week. Customer service was excellent and shipping was fast. New powerhead works great! Highly recommend this company if you need vacuum parts!

Attempting to vacuum carpet with a Hoover shampoo unit. Found I was missing both caps to the wash/rinse container. Visited American Vacuum in Gladstone, Missouri. Mark was able to locate 2 caps for the container, was very personable, and I didn't have to pay an arm and a leg for the caps. Very reasonable in fact. I will utilize this location for replacing my current Kenmore vacuum, when it gives up the ghost. Thanks, Mark!Ron Meade

Not to many places that you can go these day to find service and honesty but this is what I have consistentley found over the last 30 years of being patron with the American Vacuum Company on 95th Street in Overland Park, KS. They have always had and provided me with all that I have needed to be a homemaker who is trying to keep a clean home. You won't step into a fancy store, building but they have all you need and I highly recommend them!

Staff answered my phone call even on 4th of July holiday. First time been to a vacuum specific shop. Went in after researching and knew I wanted a SEBO Felix. Staff was helpful in demonstrating its capabilities and how to properly use. Warranty is extended to 10 years from buying from certified SEBO dealer also.

I have two light duty commercial vacuums that get a lot of use and wear and tear. When they seem like they are done for, I take them to American Vacuum for repair and refurbish. They always do a great job at a fair price. They have kept those machines going for several years. American Vacuum also sells some very nice new machines. When these two old machines of mine finally bite the dust, I’ll get a new one from American.

UPDATE: Finally heard from them. They don't have product requested, and refunded my money. Thank you.Ordered two steam Mop replacement filters December 1st 2023. My credit card was immediately charged. I have not received my order, nor have I heard from American Vacuum Co about a delay.Extremely disappointed.IF, these show up, I'll be surprised.
