Attempting to vacuum carpet with a Hoover shampoo unit. Found I was missing both caps to the wash/rinse container. Visited American Vacuum in Gladstone, Missouri. Mark was able to locate 2 caps for the container, was very personable, and I didn't have to pay an arm and a leg for the caps. Very reasonable in fact. I will utilize this location for replacing my current Kenmore vacuum, when it gives up the ghost. Thanks, Mark!Ron Meade

Not to many places that you can go these day to find service and honesty but this is what I have consistentley found over the last 30 years of being patron with the American Vacuum Company on 95th Street in Overland Park, KS. They have always had and provided me with all that I have needed to be a homemaker who is trying to keep a clean home. You won't step into a fancy store, building but they have all you need and I highly recommend them!

Staff answered my phone call even on 4th of July holiday. First time been to a vacuum specific shop. Went in after researching and knew I wanted a SEBO Felix. Staff was helpful in demonstrating its capabilities and how to properly use. Warranty is extended to 10 years from buying from certified SEBO dealer also.

I have two light duty commercial vacuums that get a lot of use and wear and tear. When they seem like they are done for, I take them to American Vacuum for repair and refurbish. They always do a great job at a fair price. They have kept those machines going for several years. American Vacuum also sells some very nice new machines. When these two old machines of mine finally bite the dust, I’ll get a new one from American.

I like the old school feel and service they render. It’s a mom and pops operation- I support my local business. UPDATE: Finally heard from them. They don't have product requested, and refunded my money. Thank you.Ordered two steam Mop replacement filters December 1st 2023. My credit card was immediately charged. I have not received my order, nor have I heard from American Vacuum Co about a delay.Extremely disappointed.IF, these show up, I'll be surprised.

I have always had excellent service at AVC. I walked into the store in 2005 and asked Dave to suggest a vacuum that would outlast 10 kids…. My vacuum still works and the kids have all grown up and moved out. I have purchased 4+ vacuums for home and work and can honestly say American Vacuum Company has always gave me the best service and vacuums! Dave will missed greatly. Sincerely!

Bissell sent me to this store for potential warranty work. I was very impressed with how knowledgeable and competent these men were! They had to do some extra work to ensure the repair was covered by Bissell, but they did it! I was very grateful and they were done in less than 5 business days (probably sooner, but I didn't get there)! Store is definitely full of supplies, hardware, and more vacuums than you could name, but hey, they're a vacuum repair store, not a corporate ran, show store! They did great work. I'd for sure go back!
